About the site
Among the various shopping destinations in and around Bluff Park Village is Piggly Wiggly. This store is touted as the best place to buy candy and soda. It is also located right across the street from Bluff Park Village. However, this quaint shop will soon be making way for a new, more modern store. The redevelopment of this iconic Hoover store will not only improve the shopping experience for shoppers, but will also allow it to better connect to other nearby neighborhoods. The new store is scheduled to open in May of 2021.
Piggly Wiggly is not the only store that will be relocating. The redevelopment of the Bluff Park Village Shopping Center includes the creation of a new green space and several new shops, including a revamped Mill’s Pharmacy. This is a major milestone in the revitalization of this popular Hoover shopping destination.
About the robbery
Several business owners have come to the Hoover city council in the hopes of developing a plan to revitalize the Bluff Park neighborhood. This includes a pharmacy and stand-alone grocery store. Some residents have been worried about crime in the area, but the city has been working to provide additional police resources.
On Monday, prosecutors will hold a hearing regarding Joseph Spota, a man arrested in 2015. He was accused of sexual misconduct with a female. He later pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor. After being arrested in 2015, Spota said he was affiliated with Campus Crusade. He offered sober rides from the Strip. The woman reported him, but Spota had already reached an agreement with prosecutors earlier this month. The judge ordered him to remain in jail until Monday.
The couple is expected to go on trial for the robbery at Piggly Wiggly in Bluff Park on September 10. Carl Weaver, a Gadsden businessman, was also named in a Coosa County murder case.

The aforementioned one is probably the most common. The other two are more difficult to come by. The aforementioned ones can be found at the local butcher shop or at one of the many pop-up farmers markets that pop up around the metro area. The real challenge is in deciding which is the best. It’s also a good idea to compare the different brands before you buy. One other benefit to buying from a farmer’s market is the chance to talk to the farmer in person. This is not always the case at larger grocery stores.
